Katherine M. Audet

KMA-2

Practice

At Brennan & Rogers, PLLC, Katie’s primary area of expertise lies in estate planning,
where she assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the entire estate planning process. Her
competence, however, transcends the boundaries of estate planning, as she possesses
extensive knowledge and active involvement in the realm of Medicaid Planning and
Medicaid applications. Before joining Brennan & Rogers, PLLC, Katie acquired valuable
experience at a regional law firm where she specialized in creditors’ rights and
regulatory compliance. This background equips her with a comprehensive
understanding of legal aspects beyond estate planning.

Katie is licensed to practice law in Maine and Massachusetts.

Education and Background

Katie completed her undergraduate education at the University of New England in
Biddeford, Maine, earning her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Medical Biology in 2011.
Following her undergraduate studies, she pursued her legal education in Maine, earning
her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Maine School of Law, graduating in 2014.
Katie assisted attorney Smilie G. Rogers on Chapter 7, Trusts and Trustees, of the
Practical Guide to Probate in Maine, 2nd Edition, 2023, MCLE Inc.

Paving the Way for End-of-Life Care

Katie serves on the Board of Hospice of Southern Maine, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
organization. Hospice of Southern Maine is the first standalone, comprehensive,
Medicare-certified hospice program in Maine with an exclusive focus on fulfilling the
critical mission of delivering essential end-of-life care.

Katie resides in Lyman with her boyfriend and their three beloved cocker spaniels.
Outside her professional career, she enjoys indulging in literature and culinary pursuits
and cherishes quality time with her family.
